The linocut workshop in detail
- Introduction to linocut and related techniques
- Design: Transfer of the design and custom motifs onto the linoleum supplied.
- Engraving: You’ll engrave your image in the lino plate using several gouges (fine, medium and one large) which we’ll lend you.
- Inking: Your engraved plaque is inked using a Japanese roller.
- Printing: Using a Japanese baren, transfer your motif onto a sheet of mulberry paper.
- While your print is drying, we’ll keep in touch and I’ll answer any questions you may have.
