Japanese linocut “Yoru no Sasayaki” – The murmur of the night

80,00

Description
In this Japanese linocut, the female figure, illuminated by the soft light of a full moon, seems absorbed in silent meditation. Everything about her posture and the atmosphere surrounding her suggests inner listening, calm and melancholy. The Japanese title 夜の囁き (Yoru no Sasayaki) translates as the murmur of the night. A delicate expression, conveying the idea that the night, far from being silent, speaks to those who know how to listen. This print was conceived as a diptych with my previous print “Tsukikage (月影)” – Moon Shadow, where we find a mirror scene: in Tsukikage, the woman stands in the shadows, moonlight in the background, while here, light envelops her. Together, these two engravings create a dialogue of contrasting harmony: shadow and light, presence and absence, memory and dream.
100% handmade creations
Each print is hand-printed on Japanese mulberry paper, a traditional medium renowned for its texture and finesse. Each print is unique, with the slight variations that make handmade printing so rich. Numbered and signed, Yoru no Sasayaki will naturally find its place in a collection of contemporary Japanese prints, or in a diptych with Tsukikage, to create a space of poetic contemplation in your home.
