Japanese linocut Tsukimi Hidari

Discover the beauty of the Japanese moon with this unique, hand-crafted linocut. It illustrates a scene from Tsukimi, the moon-contemplation festival held every autumn in Japan. It’s a moment of gratitude and serenity, when we thank nature for its blessings and admire the splendor of the full moon.

This work of art is the fruit of my love for Japan and its culture. I drew and hand-engraved a woman in a yukata, a light kimono typical of summer, looking up at the moon in a starry sky. It is completed with linocut Tsukimi migi.
