A private workshop to discover linocut printing
In this private workshop, you’ll discover all the steps and techniques involved in creating a linocut. So we’re going to engrave, ink and print! You’ll choose your own design, which we’ll work out together beforehand, to engrave a personalized plaque. After this convivial moment of creation, you’ll leave with your engraved linoleum plaque and the print you’ve made on Japanese mulberry paper.
Design or motif: I will prepare the desired design or motif on the linoleum in advance.
Engraving: You’ll engrave your image into the lino plate using several professional gouges on loan.
Inking: Your engraved plaque is inked using a Japanese roller.
Printing: Using a Japanese baren, transfer your motif onto a sheet of mulberry paper.
While your print is drying, we’ll keep in touch and I’ll answer any questions you may have.
